(Wehrmacht Flakzielfernrohr). A flak target sight, constructed of a non-magnetic metal alloy casing which retains much of its original khaki-tan paint scheme, featuring a tube with an intact ocular lens affixed to a rail rifle-style, flanked by a second wide tube featuring an intact objective lens with an aiming pattern, the left side featuring clips and a dial for attachment to an accompanying gun, the ocular lens tube riveted with an aluminum plaque bearing engraved inscriptions indicating that the sight is intended for use on the Wehrmacht 2 cm Flak gun (Flak 30/38), flanked by a mark of “Z.F.” for Flakzielfernrohr (flak target sight), and is equipped for 1 x magnification with a 40 degree field of view, all situated above a code of “DKL” indicating manufacture by Josef Schneider & Co., Kreuznach, measuring 32 cm (w) x 37 cm (l) at its greatest points, moderate loss of paint is visible to the casing, and the ocular lens demonstrates surface oxidation throughout its magnetic metal casing, a field-used example retaining functional optics, in very fine condition.
