Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot Of Decorations

(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of three decorations, including:

1. A Customs and Border Service Decoration, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a raised central wreathed German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM ZOLLGRENZ-SCHUTZ” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN BORDER PROTECTION”), unmarked, measuring 42.29 mm (w) x 46.20 mm (h), weighing 21.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.

2. A Gau Thüringen Commemorative Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronze, the reverse with a crimped hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, stamped with issue number “1179”, measuring 48 mm (w) x 41 mm (h), a scarce decoration in extremely fine condition.

3. A 1933 Thüringen Erfurt Gautreffen (Meeting) badge, constructed of silvered bronze. Horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
