Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Awards and Insignia

(Auszeichnungen und Insignien). A mixed lot of awards and insignia, including:

1. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.61 mm (w) x 49.21 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, in near mint condition.

2. A Kriegsmarine EM/NCO’s tropical breast eagle, constructed of light brown rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered golden-brown Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 132 mm (w) x 60 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.

3. An NSDAP membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 23 mm in diameter, demonstrating some flecking to the enamels, in extremely fine condition.

4. A Sturmabteilung (SA) Leadership School graduate’s insignia, constructed of a red wool base overlaid by a black Tyr rune trimmed with a white border, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 75 mm (h), in uniform-removed and extremely fine condition.
