(Ehrenkreuze der Deutschen Mutter mit Etui). A lot of Honour Crosses of the German Mother, including:
1. Three Bronze Grade awards, each constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, all consisting of Latin Crosses with their arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse of each with blue and white enameled arms, each bearing a central white enameled disc overlaid by a black swastika, in turn circumscribed by raised inscriptions of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse of each bearing an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, all unmarked and measuring 36 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), demonstrating minor flecking throughout the enamels, in overall near extremely fine condition.
2. One Gold Grade award, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of Latin Cross with its arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, bearing a central white enameled disc overlaid by a black swastika, in turn circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse bearing an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, unmarked measuring 36 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. A Bronze Grade miniature, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from a period original bow tie ribbon with horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 17 mm (w) x 21 mm (h), demonstration loss of finish to the base metal and significant soiling to the ribbon, in very fine condition.
4. A presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt depiction of the award, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former maker marked “LIEFERGEMEINSCHAFT PFORZHEIMER INNUNGEN”, with a slotted beige velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 54 mm (w) x 106 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating minor soiling and material fatigue throughout, in very fine condition.
5. A second presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt depiction of the award, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former maker marked “RICHARD SIEPER & SÖHNE, LÜDENSCHEID”, with a slotted beige felt medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 50 mm (w) x 110 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating minor soiling and material fatigue throughout, in very fine condition.
