Germany, Third Reich. A Faithful Service Award, Special Grade for 50 Years with Case, by Deschler & Sohn

(Treuedienst-Ehrenzeichen Sonderstufe für 50 Jahre mit Etui). Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular gilt oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black enameled swastika, the twelve o’clock arm bearing a gilt number “50”, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 41.35 mm (w) x 46.38 mm (h), weighing 22.7 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt number “50” within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former maker marked “DESCHLER & SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, with a slotted maroon felt medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 50 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), a scarce and matching set in extremely fine condition.
