Germany, SS. A Tank Destruction Badge Notice to SS-Scharführer Rudolf Michel, 5th SS Panzer Division “Wiking”

(Waffen-SS Panzervernichtungsabzeichen Telegramm). A rare Waffen-SS telegram notice, dated 15 February 1945 and featuring the letterhead of SS-Panzer-Nachrichten-Abteilung 5 (5th SS Panzer Division “Wiking”), indicating that Michel destroyed two Soviet T-34 at Wetitnowo (Vititnevo, near Smolensk, Russia) using a Panzerfaust, and is accordingly entitled to wear two Tank Destruction Badges on his sleeve, with timing indicating that the telegram is likely a response to an inquiry about Michel’s earlier service record (the location indicating action stemming from Operation Suvorov in 1943), certified by the handwritten signature of an SS-Hauptsturmführer, measuring 19 cm (w) x 11 cm (h), an interesting document in extremely fine condition.
