Germany, NSFK. A 1939 Ostland Flight Participant’s Plaque, with Case, by Gustav Brehmer

(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Teilnehmerplakette Ostlandflug 1939). Constructed of a coppered bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of a cascading oval disc, overlaid by a raised NSFK insignia overlaying a hollow void, topped by initials “NSFK”, situated above a banner bearing a raised inscription of “OSTLANDFLUG 20. U. 21. 5. 39”, in turn situated above an inscription of “NS-FLIEGERKORPS”, the reverse maker marked “BREHMER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN” for the firm of Gustav Brehmer, measuring 80 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux black  leather exterior liner, the interior with a retractable white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former bearing a gilt inscription of “NATIONALSOZIALISTISCHES FLIEGERKORPS / DER KORPSFÜHRER”, with a fitted dark blue velvet medal bed, closing with a metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 105 mm (w) x 120 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), the award document formerly secreted within the lid compartment is missing and the spring catch no longer functions, in overall near extremely fine condition.
