A Luftwaffe General’s dagger hanger, consisting of a functional gilded zink spring clip decorated with raised oak leaves, with dual loops emanating from the lower edge, each accommodating a dark slate-grey wool strap, topped by a layer of dark slate-grey rayon threading, in turn trimmed with silver aluminum wire tresses, each adjusted with a functional gilded zink buckle bearing raised oak leaves, and culminating in a functional gilded zink spring clip to lock onto a corresponding scabbard’s loops, the metal fixtures marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code "U.E. 10", likely indicating manufacture by Wilhelm Deus, Solingen, measuring 27.5 cm in total length as presented, demonstrating loss of gilt throughout the metal fixtures and moderate fatigue to the straps, in better than very fine condition.
