In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Kriegsmarine Schirmmütze für Unteroffiziere). A well-preserved Kriegsmarine Senior NCO’s visor cap, constructed of dark navy blue wool. It features reinforced side walls which are lined on the exterior with a ribbed black mohair cap band. The crown’s internal wire reinforcement has been removed to give the cap a popular but non-regulation Sattelform appearance. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark navy blue wool backer bearing a hand-embroidered gold bullion wire Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 70 mm (w) x 38 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the centre of the cap band features an additional insignia in the form of a padded dark navy blue wool backer bearing a gold bullion wire oak leaf surrounding a tri-colour cockade, measuring 70 mm (w) x 55 mm (h). The lower edge of the cap band is flanked by gilded magnetic metal buttons bearing raised fouled anchors, in turn accommodate a multi-piece black leatherette chinstrap. A protruding vulcanfibre visor completes the exterior features. The interior is encompassed by a multi-piece blue rayon liner, while the walls are surrounded by a brown leather sweatband. The crown retains a transparent plastic rhomboid moisture guard. Unmarked, the cap measures approximately 24.5 cm (w) x 28 cm (l) x 13.5 cm (h). Minor material fatigue consistent with age and field wear is evident throughout both the exterior and interior, but the cap remains in an overall better than very fine condition.
