Germany, Imperial. A Document from the Duchy of Schaumburg to Otto von Bismarck for his Birthday

 Presented to Otto von Bismarck on the occasion of his 80th Birthday. Constructed of a heavy binding with a faux brown leather exterior liner, the cover bearing a central maroon velvet insert overlaid by an elaborate gilded coat of arms bearing a monogram and engraved date of “1890”, the reverse featuring four non-magnetic metal studs for tabletop display, opening to reveal an off-white card stock insert, the obverse bearing an elaborate ink and gilt title dedicated to Bismarck from the Duchy of Schaumburg, dated 1890, followed by an elaborate handwritten inscription to Bismarck on the occasion of his 75th birthday, measuring 31 cm (w) x 41 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in near extremely fine condition.
