A lot of Imperial German medals and awards, consisting of:
1. A Saxon General Medal of Merit, a round circular medal constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse depicting a leftward facing bust of Wilhelm Ernst of Saxony circumscribed by his name and title in German, the reverse inscribed “Dem Verdienste 1914” (For Service 1914) in capitalized lettering within a thick oak wreath, suspended using a swivel ring from its correct replacement ribbon, measuring 35.6 mm in diameter.
2. A Baden Volunteer War Aid Cross 1914-1916, a Cross Pattée constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with the crown of Baden on the top arm, suspended from a lady’s ribbon that does not appear original to the award, dated “1914” and “1916” on the side arms, and featuring the Baden coat of arms on the bottom arm, with a Greek cross in the center, the reverse featuring the crowned ornamental monogram “F” in the center, unmarked, measuring 39.1 mm (w) x 39.0 mm (l).
3. A Baden Service Medal for 1907-1918, a circular silvered bronze medal, suspended from its period original ribbon (with a piece of see-through sticky tape attached), the obverse depicting the leftward facing bust of Friedrich II circumscribed by his name and title in German, the reverse inscribed “Für Verdienst” (For Services) within an oak wreath, measuring 38.2 mm in diameter.
4. A Mecklenburg Service Cross 1914, a cross Pattée, constructed of silver, suspended using a swivel ring from a correct replacement ribbon, the obverse with the crowned monogram of Friedrich VI in the center, surrounded by a laurel wreath, with the year “1914” on the bottom arm of the cross, the reverse inscribed “Tapfer und Treu” (Brave and Loyal) within a matching laurel wreath, measuring 40.6 mm (w) x 40.6 mm (l).
Condition ranging from fine to near extremely fine.
