In silver gilt, an Urdy cross in white enamel, adorned with green and red enameled thistles, obverse centerpiece bearing the royal cypher of its founder, surrounded by the inscription “ЗА ГРАЖДАНСКА ЗАСЛУГА”, the reverse centerpiece bearing the rampant lion, surrounded by the date “2 АВГУСТЪ 1891”, measuring 73 mm (h) x 47 mm (w) inclusive of crown suspension, unmarked, enamels intact, extremely fine.
Footnote: The National Order of Civil Merit was established August 1891 by Prince Ferdinand and awarded to civil servants, clergymen, diplomats, foreign nationals and alike as a token of gratitude on behalf of the nation and the Monarch.
