Description

A display card of cloth rank insignia worn by a Balkan Partisan forces opposed to the German invasion from 1941-1943, top of the card is written “PARTIZANSKI CINI NOBJ 1941-1943” comprising a total of 13 pieces of insignia have been created using wool backings, embroidered stars, bands and felt diamond shapes, all used to represent various ranks. The display cloth measures 298 mm (w) x 420 mm (l), heavily creased and areas of ripping, evidence of glue and stitching on each rendered insignia. Accompanied by a field grey wool forage cap with golden twist cord piping to the crown, measures 290 mm (w) x 130 mm (h), unmarked, light wear, missing insignia, remains very fine.
