Yugoslavia, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown, II. Class Grand Officer's Set, c. 1940

(Orden Jugoslovenske Krune). Instituted April 5th, 1930. Type II with Laurel Wreath. A fine matching set of Grand Officer's insignia, featuring the neck badge of the order in silver with a multi ray white enamel cross with green enameled laurels in each quadrant, obverse centre with Yugoslav crown with gilt surround, reverse presenting royal monogram, measuring 55.27 mm (w) x 76.05 mm (h-inclusive of laurel suspension), 62.9 grams, on original neck ribbon; accompanied by the matching star of the order, a four-pointed multi-rayed silver star with an applique mounted to the obverse, the applique consisting of a white enameled cross with a green enameled laurels in each quadrant, again with a central white enameled medallion bearing a Yugoslav Royal Crown consisting of multi-coloured enamels, the reverse is plain, with two rivets attaching the applique to the cross, with a functional vertical pinback and dual stays, measuring 74.29 mm (w) x 74.29 mm (l), weighing 71.2 grams, with contact from period wear, otherwise extremely fine as set.
