(Ordine del Santo Sepolcro / Ordo Equestris Sancti Sepulcri Hierosolymitani = OESSH). Instituted in 1099, re-organized in 1847. In 18K Gold, a beautiful commander cross presenting a Jerusalem cross in red enamels, the reverse mirrors the obverse, suspended from a trophy of arms suspension, hallmarked on reverse of suspension with 750 Gold mark and AGRU, marked 750 on the interior of the suspension loop, measures 52.0mm (w) x 104.8mm (h), weighs 69.7 grams, accompanied by a full length neck ribbon with button closure at the ends, enamels intact, a beautiful decoration in better than extremely fine condition.
Contained in its original case of issue, a red leatherette exterior with gilt decoration and Vatican emblems, the interior lid is marked TANFANI & BERTARELLI, the base in a crème coloured velvet medal bed with ribbon section and structured center to host decoration, measures 115mm (w) x 165mm (h) x 30mm (d), hinge and clasp functional, remains in very fine condition.
