Description

Instituted 1957. In bronze gilt, a latin cross of red enamelled arms, the obverse medallion presents the Orthodox priest, encircled by a red ring inscribed ЗА ЦЕРКОВНБІЕ ЗАСЛУГИ (For Church Merits), the reverse features a central rivet, and single vertical pin, measures 49.7mm in diameter, measures 40.5 grams, pin does not release from catch, areas of discolouration, remains in very fine condition.

Footnote: This order was created on the 40^th anniversary of the Patriarch of Moscow’s restoration in Russia. The order is to be bestowed to priests and nuns of the Orthodox church for their service to the Soviet Union and later Russia.
