Russia, Soviet Union. A Mixed Lot of Medals

A mixed lot of medals, including:

1. A Medal for Battle Merit, constructed of a silver alloy with enamels, on loop for suspension with a mis-matched Medal for Valiant Labour ribbon affixed to a replacement pentagonal backplate, the obverse bearing a central raised inscription of “ЗА БОЕВЫЕ ЗАСЛУГИ” (“FOR BATTLE MERIT”), topped by red enameled initials “СССР” and situated above a crossed sword and rifle, the reverse stamped with an award number of “1188155”, measuring 32.22 mm in diameter, in addition to the mis-matched ribbon and backplate the suspension ring has been replaced and the medal demonstrates some tarnishing, in very fine condition.

2. A Medal for Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon affixed to a pentagonal backplate with horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 32.23 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.

3. A Defence of Moscow Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon affixed to a pentagonal backplate with horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 32.25 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
