Spain, Spanish State. An Order of Agricultural Merit, Miniature Breast Star Boutonniere, in Gold and Diamonds

(Orden al Mérito Agrícola). Instituted December 1, 1905. In 18K Gold, a small boutonniere based star featuring a green enamelled eight point star with central silver medallion featuring a woman plowing a field, encircled in a silver ring set with small old cut diamonds, surrounded by a Gold wreath with agrarian symbols and surmounting crown, with red and white enamelled Spanish shield at 6 o’clock, the reverse is set with a boutonniere reverse featuring an engraved floral pattern, measures 23.95 mm (w) x 23.86 mm (w), weighs 8.21 grams, enamels intact, dark patina to center, remains in extremely fine condition. 

Contained in original case, red leatherette exterior, black velvet medal bed with concave setting for the boutonniere reverse, white silk lid, measures 50 mm (w) x 50 mm (l) x 28 mm (d), functional clasp with spring hinge to hold the lid open, extremely fine.
