(Orden de Isabel la Católica). Instituted in 1815. Multi-piece construction in silver gilt, a Maltese cross with red enamels arms on both sides, with five emanating rays between each arm of the cross and incorporating ball finials on all eight points of the arms of the cross, obverse center piece insignia in silver with blue, green and white enamels, reverse centerpiece in silver with blue and white enamels and bearing the monogram of Queen Isabella in silver, the base surmounted by a wreath in silver with green enamels, measuring 56.7 mm (w) x 78.4 mm (h -inclusive of its wreath suspension), weighs 45.36 grams, accompanied by its full length original neck ribbon, enamels intact, light gilt wear, remains in extremely fine condition.
Contained in its hardshell case of issue, dark olive green exterior bearing the Spanish coat of arms, the interior with a partial velvet medalbed and silk lid marked CELIAVO Madrid, measures 90mm (w) x 154mm (h) x 35mm (d), clasp does not latch, medalbed loose/not adhered to the base, otherwise in near very fine condition.
