Spain, Kingdom. An Award from the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain, c. 1920 by Cejalvo of Madrid

(Real Academia de Doctores de España). c. 1920 issue. Constructed of silver, consisting of an eight-pointed star constructed of multi-facets, the obverse with the shield of the Real Academia de Doctores de España/Royal Academy of Doctors with red enameled accents, topped by a Royal crown decorated with matching red enamels, the reverse is plain, with a raised barrel hinge, tapered vertical pinback, and rightward-opening round wire catch with two downward-pointed prongs for secure attachment to an uniform, unmarked, measuring 86.6 mm (w) x 86.9 mm (l). 

Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core, with a burgundy lightly textured faux leather exterior, the exterior of the lid embossed with the Coat of Arms of the Real Academia de Doctores de España in gilt, the interior of the lid lined with off-white cotton fabric embossed with the maker mark of Cejalvo of Madrid in gilt, one of the two exterior metal hinges is missing its through-pin, with an intact interior fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal push-button closure, with a slit in the padded silk-covered medal bed for secure seating of the award, measuring 104 mm (w) x 104 mm (l).

The award with dark patina from age and storage, the presentation case is very well preserved, both in overall very fine condition.
