A pair of commemorative trench art brass shell cases, including an Eastern Front shell, the exterior bearing an etched inscription of “PAMIATKA Z RUSKEJ VOJNY” (“MEMENTO OF THE RUSSIAN WAR”), topped by a Slovak national eagle and cross, in turn flanked by a helmeted soldier, above a personalized dedication, the base with calibre stamps and Cyrillic markings indicating that this example is a captured Soviet shell, in extremely fine condition, and; a second Eastern Front shell, the exterior bearing an engraved Slovak cross, topped by crossed swords and floral designs, above a date of “1943”, the base with calibre stamps and Cyrillic markings indicating that this example is a captured Soviet shell, in near extremely fine condition.
