Description

Silver, multi-piece, oval laurel wreath with crossed swords at base, central crowned double-headed Serbian eagle bearing the state arms. Broad inscribed cartouche around the eagle reading, in Cyrillic and exactly as on the piece: “КРАЉЕВСКО-СРПСКА ВОЈНА АКАДЕМИЈА 1850 1880” or "Royal Serbian Military Academy 1850–1880" in English. Plain reverse with long vertical pin and catch. Approx. 57 × 44 mm. Deep, even patina; minor edge wear; straight, functional hardware.

Instituted in 1880 under King Milan I, the badge symbolized the completion of officer training during Serbia’s modernization period in the late 19th century. It is one of the earliest formal military qualification badges of the Serbian armed forces.
