Serbia, Kingdom. An Order of Saint Sava, Miniature in Gold and Diamonds

 Constructed of Gold with diamonds and multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with each arm completing in two ball finials inset with diamonds, the obverse with blue enameled arms each inset with a single diamond, joined through the quadrants by crowned Serbian national eagles each inset with a diamond in lieu of the traditional national emblem, bearing a central enemeled oval disc featuring a hand-painted image of Saint Sava on a white background, situated within a blue enameled border bearing a gilt inscription of “СВЕ ПОСТИЖЕ СОПСТВЕНИМ ТРУДОМ” (“HE ACHIEVES EVERYTHING THROUGH HIS OWN EFFORTS”), the reverse bearing a central enameled plaque featuring a white enameled field overlaid by a gilt monogram, situated within a blue enameled border bearing a gilt laurel wreath, the twelve o’clock arm topped by a crown with the obverse inset with six diamonds, two rose gems, and one green gem, culminating in a cross inset with a diamond which in turn connects to a suspension loop inset with four diamonds and retaining an original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 12.88 mm (w) x 26.30 mm (h) (inclusive of ring), weighing 2.2 grams, an exceptional and striking example in extremely fine condition.
