An Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Type VI, Variation II, constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a cogwheel with white enamels filling the voids between the spokes, the edges bearing an inscription of “ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!” (“WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!”), surrounding a central depiction of a hydroelectric dam with water executed in blue enamels, overlaid by a raised and gilded sickle and hammer, surrounded by a gilded oak leaf wreath, topped by a red enameled flag bearing initials “СССР” (“USSR”), set above wheat stalks joined together at the centre by a red enameled five-pointed star, the reverse maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, engraved with an award number of “857561”, measuring 37.36 mm (w) x 47.73 mm (h), weighing 43.00 grams (inclusive of ribbon and mount), in extremely fine condition.
