Russia, Soviet Union. An Order of the Red Banner of Labour and Two Orders of the Patriotic War

 Instituted September 7, 1928. An Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Type VI, Variation II, constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a cogwheel with white enamels filling the voids between the spokes, the edges bearing an inscription of “ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!” (“WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!”), surrounding a central depiction of a hydroelectric dam with water executed in blue enamels, overlaid by a raised and gilded sickle and hammer, surrounded by a gilded oak leaf wreath, topped by a red enameled flag bearing initials “СССР” (“USSR”), set above wheat stalks joined together at the centre by a red enameled five-pointed star, the reverse maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, engraved with an award number of “857561”, measuring 37.36 mm (w) x 47.73 mm (h), weighing 43.00 grams (inclusive of ribbon and mount), in extremely fine condition.

An Order of the Patriotic War, Type III, II Class, constructed of a silver with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed star with red enamelled arms, with stylized rays emanating through the background, with a crossed sabre and Mosin-Nagant rifle piercing the centrepiece, bearing a central raised sickle and hammer, situated within a white enamelled ring bearing an inscription of “ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА” (“PATRIOTIC WAR”), the reverse with a central threaded screw post retaining an original backplate, maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the State Mint, and engraved with an award number of “5794730”, measures 46.9 mm (w) x 46.9 mm (h), enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.

An Order of the Patriotic War, Type III, I Class, constructed of a silver gilt with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed star with red enamelled arms, with stylized rays emanating through the background, with a crossed sabre and Mosin-Nagant rifle piercing the centrepiece, bearing a central raised sickle and hammer, situated within a white enamelled ring bearing an inscription of “ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА” (“PATRIOTIC WAR”), the reverse with a central threaded screw post retaining an original backplate, maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the State Mint, and engraved with an award number of “1046397”, measures 45.4 mm (w) x 46.4 mm (h), enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
