(Георгиевский крест, 3-й степени). Instituted February 1807 by Tsar Alexander I. An untouched and exemplary example. A silver cross pattee, the obverse bears the central cypher of the saint, the reverse bearing Saint George on horseback slaying a dragon, the obverse 12 o’clock arm stating 1/M (One Million) the 9 and 3 o'clock arms are numbered 025442, the 6 o’clock arm denoting IV class, measures 34.09 mm (w) x 41.18 mm (h), worn on a Russian pentagonal mount with felt reinforcement on the reverse with the overlaid black and orange striped ribbon and pin fixtures on reverse, bearing a silver laurel branch on the ribbon denoting conferral on the junior officer, notable contact marks, very fine.
