First postcard illustrates two Cossacks on horseback on the obverse, one in the foreground beside a tree, and one in the background in front of a cabin, inscribed "Régiment des Cosaques de la Garde de S.A.I. le Gd due heritier" (Regiment of the Cossacks of the Guard) at the bottom, reverse inscribed "Sté Editions Militaires. Repr. int. No 531" in French and Russian, 89 mm x 143 mm. Second postcard illustrates a Hussar on horseback, his right arm raised and holding a sword in his right hand, holding the horse's reins in his left hand, with a fort-like structure and a seaside in the background, inscribed "11e Regiment des Hussards d'Isioume (1914)" (11th Regiment of the Hussars of Isioume) at the bottom, reverse inscribed "Sté Editions Militaires. Repr. int. No 537" in French and Russian, 88 mm x 137 mm. Extremely fine.
