(Офицерский нагрудный знак Костромской 19-й пехотный полка). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a vaulted Cross Pattée, the obverse with green enameled arms, the three, nine, and twelve o’clock arms bearing dates “1900”, “1700”, and “1805” (the former two in celebration of the regiment’s 200th anniversary as measured from its seniority descending from a regiment formed by Prince Anikita Repnin, and the latter indicating the existing regiment’s formation), the six o’clock arm bearing an abbreviated regimental name, with a white enameled centrepiece bearing a gilt double-headed imperial eagle surrounding by a circular laurel leaf wreath, in turn defaced by a large gilt monogram, the twelve o’clock arm culminating in a royal crown, the reverse with a central threaded screw post retaining an original nut, latter maker marked “ЭДУАРДЪ” for the noted St. Petersburg firm of Eduard, measuring 42.23 mm (w) x 54.20 mm (h), weighing 34.7 grams, a superb wartime example produced c. 1916 in extremely fine condition.
