Type II. (1945-1965 Issue.) Of multipiece construction, a silver gilt badge consisting of a silver gilt sunburst design culminating in a central yellow enamel disc, with a red enamel banner waving along the bottom half, a silver emblem on top of the ribbon featuring a laurel wreath, wheat, and the hammer and sickle emblem, with the inscription RPR (Romanian People’s Republic) in a red enamel banner, reverse presents a single vertical pin assembly with two rivets, measures 44.37mm (w) x 46.95mm (h), weighs 39.7grams, enamels fully intact, light contact marks, very fine condition.
Accompanied by an original embossed certificate denoting a I Class decoration numberd 573, awarded 16 December 1955 to Vinea Emanoil, and it’s original hard shell case of issue, orange leatherette reptile-design exterior impressed ORDINUL MUNCII CL.I, crème coloured velvet interior with indented medalbed for decoration and ribbon bar, metal clips inserted to hold pin, measures 86.17mm (w) x 107.61mm (h) x 30.05mm (d), catch in working order, hinge slightly loose, and green mark on interior lid, both very fine condition.
