(Medalia Medaliei Virtuții Aeronautice). Instituted in 1931. In bronze, measuring 32.3 mm (w) x 59 mm (h) inclusive of its crown and crossed swords suspension, edge nicks, contact marks, silver crossed swords clasp affixed to its original military ribbon with hook and eye, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Medal of Aeronautical Virtue in its three classes was founded by King Charles II on February 24, 1931, as an extension of the Order of Aeronautical Virtue's higher classes. It was awarded to non-commissioned officers of the Romanian Air Force, especially to pilots. Crossed swords were added for wartime service after 1938.
