Description

(Ordine della Corona d'Italia). Instituted in 1868. Multi-piece construction, in 18K Gold with white enamelled arms and Savoy knots in each quadrant, the obverse medallion featuring a Lombardy crown on a blue enamelled field, the reverse medallion with a black enamelled eagle, measures 35.86mm (w) x 39.5mm (h - inclusive of ball suspension), weighs 12.78 grams (including ribbon), enamels intact, worn on an Austrian style ribbon, in extremely fine condition.

Housed in a case for the knight of the order (this decoration does not fit the space due to the ribbon), red exterior with crowned VE cypher, purple velvet and silk interior, measures 63mm (w) x 87mm (l) x 20mm (d), hinge and clasp functional, light wear to exterior, in very fine condition.
