Italy, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown of Italy, II Class Grand Officer Set, in Case by Cravanzola

(Ordine della Corona d'Italia). Instituted February 20, 1868 by Emmanuel II. A Grand Officer Set, the neck badge in 18K Gold, a white enamelled cross with savoy knots in each quadrant, the obverse featuring a lombardy crown on a blue enamel field, the reverse medallion featuring a black enamelled eagle, measures 51.6 mm (w) x 54.9 mm (h - inclusive of integral ring), weighs 22.96 grams, worn on original neck ribbon, light wear, remains in very fine condition. 

The Breast Star, in silver, featuring eight faceted arms with large ball finials, the central medallion presenting the white enamel cross with Savoy knots in the quadrants, the lombardy crown on a blue enamelled field encircled by a Gold ring, the reverse of the star presenting a vertical pin assembly with dual stays, maker cartouche in the center reads D. CRAVANZOLA SUCCI FILLI BORANI ROMA, measures 77.2 mm (w) x 77.9 mm (h), weighs 55.9 grams, wear to silver, enamels intact, hinge and clasp functional, remains in very fine condition.

Contained in the original red velvet case with silk bottom, interior marked D. CRAVANZOLA, black velvet medal bed, measures 113 mm (w) x 227 mm (h) x 34 mm (d), hinge and clasp functional, light wear, extremely fine condition.
