Italy, Kingdom. An Order of St. Lazarus and St. Maurice, Commander in Gold, c.1900

(Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro). Instituted in 1434. A Commander neck badge, consisting of 18K Gold, in the form of a white enamelled shamrock cross with the green rays of a Maltese cross in each quadrant, the reverse mirrors the obverse, surmounted by a large hollow Gold crown, worn on a full length green neck ribbon, measures 53.35 mm (w) x 85.22 mm (h), weighs 32.04 grams (including ribbon), enamel chips and cracks on white shamrock, ribbon missing ties at both ends, remains in very fine condition.

Contained in its original case of issue, a green leatherette exterior with crowned VE monogram on the lid, the interior with a black velvet medal bed with white silk lid marked CRAVANZOLA, measures 82mm (w) x 152 mm (l) x 22 mm (d), light wear, hinge and clasp functional, in very fine condition.
