In bronze, obverse illustrating a helmeted soldier bearing a rifle, surrounded by the inscription "SAGRA - BERSAGLIERESCA / ROMA" and engraver marked "P. MORBI DVCCI.", reverse illustrating the Porta Pia gate, through which the Bersaglieri (Italian rifle infantry, formed in 1836 - in the twentieth century under Mussolini, scooter and motorcycle units) entered the battlefield in Rome on September 20, 1870, backed by the inscription "INAVGVRAZIONE DEL MONVMENTO E DELLA NVOVA SEDE DEI MVSEO STORICO" and inscribed "18-SETT.1932-A.X" below, measuring 49.5 mm (w) x 53.8 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, very light contact and surface wear, spotting, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Museum of Porta Pia commemorates, since 1932, the memory of the capture of Rome by the Bersaglieri in 1870 , concluding the process of the unification of Italy.
