Italy, Kingdom. An Order of St. Maurice & St. Lazarus in Gold, Knight, c. 1900 by Musy P.E. Figlio

(Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro). Instituted September 16th, 1572. (c. 1900 issue). Constructed of 18kt Gold of exceptional jeweler’s quality, consisting of a white enameled Shamrock Cross with green enameled fans in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, suspended of a finely detailed hollow Gold crown, pierced ball suspension and dual swivel rings from its period original ribbon, unmarked but displaying the extremely fine manufacturing characteristics of Musy P.E. Figlio of Paris, measuring 40.5 mm (w) x 42.2 mm (l).

Accompanied by a presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core, with a green lightly textured faux leather exterior, the exterior of the lid embossed with the Royal Monogram of Victor Emmanuel, the interior of the lid lined with cotton-silk material, with a functional exterior metal hinge, intact interior fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal push-button for secure closing of the case, measuring 81 mm (w) x 138 mm (l). 

The award of extremely fine craftsmanship. The case is extremely well preserved. Both in overall better than extremely fine condition.
