Italy, Kingdom. Three Second War Fascist Arm Sleeve Shields

A Second War 2nd CC. NN Division (Blackshirts) “28 Ottobre” Sleeve Shield, in stamped, gilded aluminum and black lacquer, measures 52.2 mm (w) x 71.7 mm (h), three small holes for uniform attachment,  loss of lacquer and gilt, a rare insignia in very fine condition. The division took part in the Italian invasion of Egypt and was destroyed during the Battle of Bardia in January 1941.

A 1930s Anti-Aircraft Unit Sleeve Shield, in painted aluminum, measures 56.5 mm (w) x 74 mm (w), three small holes for uniform attachment, wear to paint, slightly bent, remains near very fine. The Militia (Milizia Controaerei) was formed in 1927 and provided defense complimentary to the military anti-aircraft units, as well as observation and manning of searchlights.

A Second War University Militia Fascist Shield, in gilded sheet metal with lacquered center, measures 55 mm (w) x 66.8 mm (h), two holes functional for uniform attachment (one corner missing for hole to close), light wear, very fine.
