Description
1. Institution Date: 1923. Two miniature medals, both in silver, denoting general service with a Palestine clasp affixed. The obverse bearing a leftward facing bust of George the 6th, and the reverse bearing the winged Roman Goddess Victory holding a laurel wreath. Each measuring at 18mm in diameter, both on period ribbons. In extremely fine condition.
2. Institution Date: 1923. In silver, with the obverse bearing a leftward facing bust of George the 6th marked “PM”, and the reverse bearing the winged Roman Goddess Victory holding a laurel wreath. Maker marked “E CRP” for E. Carter Preston. Medal named to Pvt J. Dewart, Highland Light Infantry on the rim. On period ribbon denoting general service with a Palestine clasp affixed. Medal measuring at 35mm (w) x 48mm (h- to top of suspension). With minor discoloration, in very fine condition.
