In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
A private purchase sword exhibiting all the fine characteristics sought after in a revolutionary war period sword, featuring a 71 cm long blade with a fuller that extends 55 cm up the blade, with typical “running wolf” on both sides of the blade as well as proof marks, maker marked on spine "Osborn" referring to a known family of English cutlers active in the 18th century, especially around the time of the American Revolutionary War who operated in Birmingham. Hilt and guard are brass in a popular "heart" or scallop design, wooden handle, fitted within original leather scabbard with brass fittings, blade having been sharped at one point, otherwise an early and rare sword, remains fine.
Line officer swords were largely non-regulated, allowing officers to purchase personal weapons, often featuring "spadron" blades (straight, narrow, sometimes double-edged) or "hanger" style swords. Popular designs included brass hilts with, or without, folding shells.
