3 Clasps - CAPE COLONY, ORANGE FREE STATE, TRANSVAAL (1010 TPR: H.H. DAVISON. S.A.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Edge nicks, contact marks, original ribbon, better than very fine.
Footnote: Henry Hazlett Davison was born on June 27, 1874 in Ireland. He was recruited in Belfast and was enlisted on April 5, 1901, naming his next-of-kin as his father, stating he was Single, that his trade was that of Agent and that he had been four years in South Africa as a Commercial Traveller. He was a 3rd Class Trooper with the South African Constabulary and had served for 1 year and 83 days when he purchased his discharge on June 30, 1902, his character noted as "Very Good" (Information from Ancestors South Africa).
