Instituted in 1987. Cherry red burlap-patterned exterior, marked "NORMANDY 1944" within a rule in gold-coloured ink on the lid, label affixed to the bottom inscribed "AWARD PRODUCTIONS LTD. / PO BOX 30 / HASLEMERE / SURREY / GU26 6UT U.K. / Telephone : 042873 7267" and numbered in handwritten black ink "45395", inside lid in white satin, padded and bearing the Royal Mint insignia, recessed black felt medal bed with white liner insert, measuring 88 mm (w) x 107 mm (h) x 18 mm (d), small indentations evident on the lid, near extremely fine.
