In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

In its hardshelled case of issue, maroon thatched-look exterior, King's crown in gold-coloured ink on the lid, inside lid in white satin and exhibiting the impression of the award, lightly soiled medal bed in white felt and recessed for the medal and slotted for the pinback, measuring 71 mm (w) x 124.5 mm (h) x 22.5 mm (d), case also better than very fine. Accompanied by a black and white photograph with a gloss finish of the recipient in his dress uniform, wearing the Military Cross on his left breast, enclosed with a metal frame with easel back, measuring 61.5 mm (w) x 170 mm (h).
Footnote: The Military Cross (MC) is the third-level (second-level pre-1993) military decoration awarded to officers and (since 1993) other ranks of the British Armed Forces, and formerly awarded to officers of other Commonwealth countries. The MC is granted in recognition of "an act or acts of exemplary gallantry during active operations against the enemy on land" to all members of the British Armed Forces of any rank. In 1979, the Queen approved a proposal that a number of awards, including the Military Cross, could be recommended posthumously.
