In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
George V (4171 Cpl A.W. FARR. 18/M.G.C.). Naming is officially impressed in large capitals, contact marks, surface wear, edge nicks, replacement ribbon, near fine. Accompanied by a research paper.
Footnote: Corporal Arthur W. Farr was originally a member of the East Surrey Regiment (1481) before joining the 18th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps (4171). Corporal Farr was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, his citation stating "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When the enemy attempted to attack the isolated position he was occupying in front of our Infantry he fearlessly exposed himself in order to obtain better observation. He directed the fire of his guns with such effect and caused such heavy casualties that the enemy on two occasions were forced to retire. This NCO's courage and initiative undoubtedly prevented the advance of a strong enemy formation and allowed our Infantry time to get well consolidated in the new position. Although severely wounded he would not leave his guns and throughout the operations he was a fine example of soldierly conduct to the men under him." In addition to the Distinguished Conduct Medal, for his First World War service, Corporal Farr was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
