In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
A well-preserved wartime example of a British issue Army Officer’s peaked “crusher” cap, constructed entirely of olive-drab woven cotton in the traditional design with a raised peak. The cap consists of a smooth integrated cap band with a crusher-style crown of the same type and colour material. It is missing its insignia that was previously mounted to the front, but includes a chocolate-brown adjustable leatherette chin strap that is held in place on either side of the cap with a matching brown leatherette “knotted” button. The chin strap rests upon a visor with a stiff core, not depicting creasing of any kind, that is equally lined with matching olive-drab woven cotton. Both sides of the cap are ordained with two bronze horizontally mounted side-by-side rivet breather-holes. The interior of the cap is lined entirely a brown oil cloth overtop a rayon-cotton blended fabric with a light brown leather sweatband that has changed colour to dark brown from age and wear. The cap is maker marked “Junior Army & Navy Stores LTD, 15 Regent St. S.W”. It measures approximately 24 cm (w) x 275 mm (l), with soiling from age and wear on the interior of the cap, but otherwise well preserved, in better than very fine condition.
