Instituted by Queen Victoria in 1854. (1910-1930 Issue). In silver, full size, featuring a bust of King George on the observe, the reverse with the inscription FOR DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT IN THE FIELD, rim impressed 61193 SJT. C. BRUSSELMANS. 22-CAN.INF., as issued to Allied troops, bright, light contact marks, in extremely fine condition.

“For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He was of the greatest assistance to his Company Commander in making preparations for the attack. During the attack he went from one platoon to another cheering his men and arranging for the supply of ammunition. He set a splendid example of courage and contempt of danger.
