Description

In bronze, the obverse featuring Oliver Cromwell, with the reverse featuring a monument with the inscription ANGLIÆ. SCO. ET HIB. PROTECTOR, signed by Dassier, measures 38.1 mm (d), light wear and small edge contact marks, very fine.

Footnote: Jean Dassier was an esteemed 18th-century medallist from Geneva, renowned for his artistic medals depicting famous historical figures and events. His craftsmanship and style significantly influenced the art of medal making.
