In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Throughout the Second Boer War, the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) served in both major battles and later counter-guerrilla operations. Early in the war, they fought in set-piece engagements such as the Battle of Magersfontein, where they suffered heavy casualties during a failed assault on entrenched Boer positions. As the conflict shifted after 1900, their role changed to patrolling, escorting convoys, guarding railways, and participating in sweeping drives and blockhouse operations designed to contain and defeat mobile Boer commandos. They also took part in broader British efforts to control the countryside, contributing to the gradual exhaustion of Boer resistance until the war ended with the Treaty of Vereeniging in 1902.
