In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Feldflasche M31). Constructed of an aluminum shell, featuring a threaded spout which retains a black bakelite cap, the latter topped by a rivet which connects to cotton straps affixed to an original field-grey felt cover, the obverse of the shell notably bearing a hand-painted depiction of Hohensalzburg Fortress, situated above a banner bearing an inscription of “SALZBURG - AUSTRIA”, topped by a name of “LEROY E. JOHNSON” with the classic rainbow insignia of the US 42nd Infantry Division (appropriately then on occupation duty in Austria), the reverse bearing a central coat of arms situated above a depiction of the Combat Infantryman Badge, topped by a banner bearing a date of “JANUAR - 1946”, flanked on the sides by flowers, the spout stem maker marked with the logo of Franzel & Sachs, Schneeberg, measuring 13.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), oxidation is visible to the metal buckles and buttons on the cover and friction renders removal of the cap difficult, a superb example of a veteran-attributed battlefield souvenir in near extremely fine condition.
