(Kriegsgefangene Abzeichen). A pair of field-made Afrikakorps POW badges, including:
1. One constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a hand-struck depiction of the pyramids flanked by palm trees and Arab-Islamic architecture, situated within inscriptions of “POW CAMP 379” (Quassassin) and “19 EGYPT 44”, perforated with an array of eyelets for sew-on attachment, unmarked, measuring 46 mm (w) x 32 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
2. One constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a cut-out image of Arab-Islamic architecture with a palm tree, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), a typical example of a hand-made POW commemorative badge in near extremely fine condition.
