A pair of studio portraits of decorated Wehrmacht Officers, include one depicting an elderly Heer Medical Oberst, wearing an extensive ribbon bar for First World War Service, in addition to a 1914 Iron Cross I Class, clutching a dress dagger in his left hand, above a handwritten signature identifying the individual as a doctor, flanked by a date of “1942”, the reverse in postcard format and bearing an additional handwritten dedication, measuring 9 cm (w) x 13.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; one depicting a Wehrmachtbeamte (Administration) Oberst, in uniform and wearing an extensive ribbon bar for First World War service, the reverse in postcard format and bearing a brief handwritten dedication from the individual to an old friend, dated 1 January 1942, measuring 9 cm (w) x 14 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
