Germany, Wehrmacht. A Mixed Lot of Sword and Dagger Accessories

(Wehrmacht Schwert- und Dolchzubehör). A mixed lot of Wehrmacht dagger accessories, including:

1. A portepee, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire acorn suspended from a cord of identical construction, unmarked, measuring 31 cm in length, demonstrating extensive material fatigue to the cord, in fair condition.

2. A Luftwaffe dagger hanger, consisting of a functional silvered zink spring clip, with two loops emanating from the lowe edge, each accommodation a dark grey doeskin strap, both in turn topped by dark grey embroidered tresses flanked by machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire borders, each adjusted with functional aluminum buckles and culminating in functional zink spring clips to lock onto a corresponding scabbard’s loops, the top clip maker marked with the logo of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, measuring 26.5 cm in length as presented, demonstrating loss of finish throughout the zink fixtures, in better than very fine condition.

3. An Officer’s sword hanger, consisting of a functional magnetic metal spring clip suspended from a black leather strap of identical construction, the latter bearing a partially-legible Reichsbetriebsnummer (RBNr.) on the reverse, measuring 12 cm in total length, demonstrating surface oxidation to the clip, in very fine condition.

4. A gold bullion wire tresses for use on a portepee or hanger, unmarked, in better than very fine condition.
