(Blaue Division Auszeichnung, Papiere, und Insignien). A lot of items to Blue Division volunteer Eustaquio Fernández Cocinero, including:
1. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a cross sword and laurel branch, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsdialkanzlei code “13” for Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, measuring 35.78 mm (w) x 44.11 mm (h), weighing 19.2 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the exterior bearing an inscription of “MEDAILLE ‘WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42’ (OSTMEDAILLE)” and a maker’s mark of “GUSTAV BREHMER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 110 mm (h) and retaining an original paper liner, demonstrating moderate loss of finish to the medal, in better than very fine condition.
2. A Blue Division sleeve insignia, constructed of a field-grey rayon base, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured shield featuring Spanish national colours situated within a black border, topped by an inscription of “ESPAÑA”, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), demonstrating moderate soiling, a field-worn example in uniform-removed and very fine condition.
3. A Spanish Volunteer Medal award document, named to Cocinero as an Enlisted soldier of Regimiento de Granaderos 263, dated 5 December 1943, certified by the stamped signature of Generaloberst Georg Lindemann, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), demonstrating moderate soiling and material fatigue, in very fine condition.
4. A Spanish military mobilization card, named to Fernandez Cocinero, dated 3 September 1938 and issued in Valladolid, measuring 10 cm (w) x 13.5 cm (h), demonstrating moderate soiling throughout, in very fine condition.
5. A Vallaldolid Ex-Combatants Delegation certificate, named to Fernandez Cocinero, dated 9 May 1940, measuring 16 cm (w) x 21.5 cm (h), demonstrating tearing and material fatigue throughout, in fair condition.
6. A Valladolid Provincial Brotherhood of Blue Division Combatants membership card, constructed of rose-pink card stock with multi-coloured ink, named to Fernandez Cocinero and featuring stamps for membership dues for the year 1960, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 7.5 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
7. An unissued order sheet, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, measuring 9.5 cm (w) x 13.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
